How to Summarize a PDF

A wise person once told me our greatest strength is also our greatest weakness. That truism certainly applies to online data research. Making sense of what’s available online often feels like drinking water from a fire hydrant. Although the gushing volume of available data gives researchers potential access to an exciting array of data sets, simple tasks like skimming articles for relevancy can seem daunting. Fortunately, there’s an AIPRM prompt that can help researchers refine their workflow so they spend less time sorting through digital stacks of raw data and more time on high-value tasks like analysis and report writing.

This AIPRM prompt is called Summarize text or PDF with bullet points. Unlike some prompts that generate summaries based on text input (which can be tricky when working from a PDF), you enter the URL for a PDF (or other file formats like PPT and CSV). The end result is quite amazing: a single researcher can quickly generate dozens of summaries of technical, legal, or scholarly articles in a few minutes.
